Bridal Makeup

Everyone wants their wedding to be one of the most meaningful milestones in their life, and that is why Za strives to give every girl the perfect look that will not only enhance her natural raw beauty but to also make her feel confident about herself and to have that look captured as a memory in photographs that will last for many years to come.

The whole idea of makeup is for the bride to look best in person, in photograph and in video. Whether you desire a natural look, a simple smokey eye or a full-blown glam, Za knows just how to meet your expectations. She believes it is important to work closely with the bride to ensure her makeup style complements the theme of the wedding. Za’s style is extremely versatile, which is what makes her so unique and in demand. Her professionalism, genuine passion for the work that she does and the fact that she is able to focus on each and every one of her clients for them to feel special and confident on their wedding day, means you can expect to feel like you’re chatting with a friend instead of liaising with a professional.

Za is constantly keeping up with the changing trends by taking regular Masterclasses in Ireland and abroad to hone the skills required to make sure her bride looks gorgeous and fashionable on her wedding day and to ensure that the brides walkdown the aisle is everything she has dreamed of.

“I am very proud of my profession and the opportunity to be able to witness the joyous occasions and glorious smiles of my valued clients. After all, my mission is to enhance their natural beauty and make them look gorgeous for their special event. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than working with brides on their big day and sharinging in their excitement”.

All Your Questions Answered

We understand that this is a very important day for every bride, and you’re going to have lots of questions. So we’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions here for you and if you do have anything else that you want to know please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

What brand of products do you tend to use?
My Artists kit contains Charlotte Tilbury, Armani, Laura Mercier, Channel, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Inglot and some professional brands used by Artists such as Tatcha, Krayolan, Anastasia Beverly Hills and many more.

I tend not to be restricted by just one product line and instead I like to combine different brands in my artist kits as this helps me to meet the bride-to-be’s requirements and to suit her individualistic skin type and skin tone.

Do I need a wedding Trial?

I strongly recommend that we meet up for a makeup trial to discuss and finalise makeup, the start time for your big day and your required look prior to the wedding so that the makeup will meet your expectation and ensure that your special day is serene and memorable. I also suggest that the bride-to-be brings in a selection of cut outs and pictures of the look she would like to consider for the day or you may want to check on my social media, i.e. Facebook and Instagram for inspiration.

How long does the makeup trial take?

I always advise brides-to-be to allow themselves at least two hours for the trial. It is a good idea from a practical point of view that you allow sufficient time for the trial should the trial go over time. I recommend you avoid making other appointments on the trial day if possible so as to ensure you have left with the look that you are 100% happy with.

Where do you have the trial?

I usually hold the makeup trial in my studio at Oxygen Hair Design on Main Street, Midleton, Co. Cork,  However a home call out can also be arranged for an additional fee.

How much time do you allow for the Makeup on the wedding day?

I would usually allocate an hour per person.

Which comes first, hair or makeup on the wedding day?

Usually the hair is set, followed by the makeup, however I am flexible in this regard as usually hair stylist and makeup artist can work around each other.

What happens on the Morning of the Wedding?

I will arrive at your chosen venue on the morning of your special day at an arranged time to recreate your desired look. I will be with you until you are dressed and ready to start your journey, making any final touch ups, lipstick top ups etc, so that you are prepared for your special day.

How do I book you?

A 40 % deposit is required so as to secure your wedding date. The balance will then fall due on the day of the wedding itself. I would recommend that brides-to-be book sooner rather than later due to my salon commitments.
Because of the volumes of enquiries, I am unable to hold the wedding date without the payment of the deposit.

How much do you charge for home call?

The travel cost depends on the location and a quote can be provided on request.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept either bank transfer or cash.
